Slow uptake, annoying storage issues
by Anonymous Reviewer on 6/21/2026 6:04:22 AM
I loved my 2021 Corolla Hybrid -- everything but the uncomfortable front seat. I particularly liked the powerful acceleration a hybrid offers. I just bought a '26 non-hybrid Corolla LE and am already a bit disappointed. Once again, the driver's seat is uncomfortable. Worse, the acceleration seems sluggish (and potentially dangerous), as well as very noisy compared to the hybrid. Also, mysteriously, this model, unlike the hybrid, has less interior storage room; there are no handy storage units attached to the backs of the front seats, and no room for maps or anything else in the side pockets on the doors. (There's supposedly room there for bottles, but it's as the traditional map pockets were deliberately misshaped to make them useless for ordinary storage.) I say "mysteriously" because eliminating these simple, convenient storage areas certainly could not have saved Toyota any money. - 4.0
Best new car
by Kiki on 6/15/2026 9:02:25 AM
Personally I like older vehicles but they tend to need a lot of work so I decided to buy a new car and this is the one I landed on. I’ve had it for a year I’m currently at 47,000 miles and I’ve only had to change tires and normal oil changes all though the revs are very high for average driving. Gas mileage is amazing on it and everything else seems to be in great condition for what it’s at now - 5.0
Ultra sensible
by Drivertilldawheelscumoff on 6/7/2026 7:33:06 PM
Out of this workd mpg, legendary Toyota quality/reliability, what more can you ask for? My nephew was in need of a Car 2 years ago to make an ultra long commute on a weekly basis. I told him to buy a Corolla hybrid, he did in it now has 80k on it. He was religious about oil changes, is in a position where they only need one car and he needs to sell it. My son bought it from them for $17k, it was a favor at that price. Carvana gave him an offer of $19k. Dealers would be asking 22 to 23k for this car all day long and getting it. My son bought this for his fiance as they both have the same and Twenty Mile round trip commute each day and unfortunately are not in a position to commute together. We have had several Toyota Priuses to date, all have been bulletproof.
